The Cocksmen Bow to Wags!

April 30, 2012, Cocksmen Vs. Wags at Center Ice
Chris "Loony" Ward
teamed up with Dan "Grizzled Veteran" Lopatka to give Wags an early lead just 4 minutes into the game. (The score sheet had #2 for the assist, but we didn't have a number 2, so I gave it to my son, #12.) The score sheet says #18 scored a minute later, but we didn't have a number 18, so I'll give the unassisted goal to Chris "Muffler Man" Schultz since he bought us some great sweaters. (I think Kevin "Smooth as" Glass got that goal) An unnamed speedy Cocksman beat Ed "The Wall" Waghorn to make it

Anna, the Wags trainer,   helped us to another win.

Wags 2, Cocksmen 1 with 10:04 left in period one. Charlie "Do Gooder" Dodero took a pass from Chris "Mad Man" Marzyn and gave us a short lived 3-1 lead that evaporated in the final 5 minutes of the period.  The Wags players woke up and went on a scoring spree that had the Cocksmen flopping and looking for some Viagra.  Wags turned a 3-3 tie into a 10-4 lead in the second period!  The 7 goals came from Jay "Road Runner" DeMaria, (Assist Gary "The Inhibiter" Hibbler), Robert "The Value Goes up, up, up" Hall.  (Only old guys like me can sing that old Robert Hall clothing store songChris "Mad Man" Marzyn (Unassisted Power Play), #23 (Probably Kyle "Killer" Sandowski or Jay assisted by Lopatka), DeMaria assisted by Tony "The Tiger" Letto.  Robert Hall ended the 2nd period scoring spree with a dagger with just 6 seconds left to play. The Cocksmen started to stir in the third period when they finally got one up and over Ed to cut the lead to 10-5, but Lopatka got that one back with an assist from Shultz. Two more goals by the Cocksmen made it interesting at 11-7, but Marzyn and Sandowski put the Cocksmen away with 2 goals assisted by Glass.  Letto zipped up the win when he scored a 14th goal, but the referee was tired of going to the scorer's box, so he told Tony, "It was in, but you don't need another goal to embarrass the Cocksmen." Out of the 20 goals in the game, 11 were listed as unassisted!
Anna was credited with distracting the Cocksmen  because she wore high heels and flashy outfit.

The score is Ten-Four!
Here is the Robert Hall jingle that I remember:

"When the values go up up up,  The prices go down down down,  Robert Hall this season will show you the reason....  low overhead.... low overhead.."

Here is the one I hated because summer was almost over:

School bells ring and children sing
It's back to Robert Hall again
Mother knows for better clothes
It's back to Robert Hall again
la la la la la la la
Back to Robert Hall again.
