Welcome to

We have changed our Madison trip to   a car/van Road trip like we had last year.  We will not play a Duffer game, but we will go to Men's Badger games on Friday and Saturday evenings. Some guys have expressed an interest in attending the #1 Badger Women play St. Cloud State on Saturday and Sunday afternoons.

Let me know now if you can join us. The women's games sell out quickly.

Next Duffer Game is December 15 at 8:50

Many Duffers, SODs, DODs and GODs * showed up for our  annual Thanksgiving Game. We even had a few WODs show up to cheer us on.  We had a fast competitive game that had fathers trying to beat their sons. Grandpa Ken and his brother Tweedy were successful in beating Ken's sons' team that was slowed down by their Dad, Beak. Jeff and Mike would have had more scoring chances if they didn't make so many passes to their grandpa Beak who hit the post twice. The Whites had a strong Defensive pair, With

Great Turnout and great fun! Family Feud

Grandpa Ken and Tweedy followed by Jack Kroll and V-Man.  They were able to slow down the fast moving Duffer SODs and hold them to 2 goals.  The Whites jumped off to an early lead with goals by Rob Z and Art K.  Tommy Z cut the lead to 2-1, but John "UU" Schuurman and Crash Nance scored to give the Whites a 4-1 lead.  Beak told SODs, Thomas "t&a" Ambrosia, Speed Racer Jeff and Monet Mike to get some goals, so Jeff scored a pair and got the Reds back in the game.  The Czar (Who is a SOD)  and Rags scored to give the Reds a 5-4 lead.  Tweedy scored to tie the game and then Art, Rob Z and John UU dashed the Reds hopes as they each scored their second goals. Bill BTW tried to get the Reds back in the game, but Jimmy Bones shut the door as Bookie Anthony scored one more for the Whites to give the Whites a 9-6 win.

Memorable moments:
Terry and Brian were co-MVPs for bringing the beer.
Terry and his son Dylan cooked up some great Brats and Kraut.
Ryan was referee in charge of Luke, Lennie and Carmela Lopatka.
Jack Kroll and Dylan played a great game without taking a shot while setting up several goals.
Stump showed up to watch his son Kyle play, but he forgot the Coconut Rum and Pineapple juice. (Old tradition)
Mike, Jeff, Luke, Lennie and Carmela Lopatka are SODs and GODs
SODs: Czar, Ken and Dan Lopatka, Thomas Ambrosia, Dylan Nance, Jimmy Ragland, Kyle Barczynski, Jack

and Ryan Kroll.
DODs Carmela Lopatka and Emma Stewart.

Madison Road Trip January 26-28

We don't have enough skaters to play a Duffer game, so we will just do a Badger game week end.  They are fun to watch.  Two Aurora kids Sean Dhooghy and his brother Jason are freshmen. Sean played with Donny in the USA development program.  He is 5'3" and tips the scale at 139. His big brother Jason is 5 inches taller and 2 pounds heavier. The Badger Women are home that weekend too.  I will be asking for the following Information:

  • Will you need a room for Friday and Saturday?
  • Who is your room mate?
  • Will you want tickets for Men's games?
  • Will you want tickets for Women's games?

He was born on May 20, 1935.  My son Dan was born on his birthday in 1970.

We shared a lot of Muzzy pictures in the last Newsletter.

This was 1997 when we brought up Robby Granato to give the Bombers 2 Illinois ringers.  We filled most of the coach seats and avoided a fun tax.  This is the year that Muzzy shocked Hayward church goers when he came out of the church and boarded the bus with toilet paper streaming out of his pants. Read More....
