Welcome to

Thanks to T&A for his game report. I remembered 20 of the 22 guys that scored the goals.  He filled in the blanks and added some assists.

Ten Goals by 5 Duffers!

Romeoville, IL April 25, 2014  Attendance: 20

Duffer History Has Been Updated

Anvil returned and Johnny B was back playing left wing for the Reds.  He beat the Brain with a beautiful goal that started when Dizzy Beak fired a pass out to Geno who put it on a tee for Johnny.  That goal came in the second period when the Reds were chasing 2 early goals by Brinks.  The Czar was busy getting a Hat trick in the 2nd and 3rd periods after The Anvil's medication wore off.  The Reds were only able to manage 2 goals by Tweedy as the Brain was sharp and made many great saves, especially on Mini Wheezer who was stoned all night long.

The Lopatkas celebrate the Blackhawk win.

(Stoned by the Brain, not CR.).  The game started out with the Whites needing several players, so the Reds sent Drago packing. (That turned out to be a bad move)  Brinks Jr. and Bill BTW were on their way to the rink, so the Whites had to double shift for a while.  Bill got there first and was told to go to the White team.  When he started dressing, he realize that he left his elbow pads and helmet at home.  We suspect that maybe his wife had a hand in that, because Bill went home early to see if his luck would change.  Donny Granato showed up and gave the Whites a needed boost in numbers.  He also started setting up goals.  That Drago trade turned out to be the game changer, as he rifled 2 bullets past the Anvil to give the Whites the big win..
Final score  Whites 7, Reds 3. Meaningful score, Whites 2, Reds 0. It looked like the Whites were going to sweep with a win at Wild Wings, but Mini Wheezer and the Anvil showed up late and tied the score.

Memorable Moments

wouldn't have done that if Tweedy hadn't razzed him.  That exchange demonstrates the "Duffer Way."

Brinks and Brinks Jr. went to Wild Wings.

Remember this sign?  It was one of 4 that was on the Duffer float in the 2002 Cammi Day parade. It has been hanging in my garage since that parade.  Look who is pictured with Cammi.

My great grandson Lennie is starting to skate.

My grandson Luke is loving 3 on 3 hockey.

We celebrated Lennie's 5th Birthday and the Hawks win.  Michelle had a double header, so I just got to the party for the 3rd period.

We ran out of Hawk jerseys, so Jeff put on a Penguin jersey and got into the picture.  Tony loved it
