Another Great Picnic!

Downers Grove, IL July 19, 2014 Attendance: 70

Thanks to the Following People

Klinger delivered the grill and beer

Tweedy brought 25 lbs sausage, 5 lbs of beef and cooler

Bill BTW's daughter Lilia baked some delicious cupcakes

Tommy Z brought 4 bags of charcoal, jardinière, onions, green peppers and his house

V man brought 48 feet of bread

Franek Brought paper products

Geno brought a Cooler, pop (2 cases) water (2 cases)

Terry brought 32 hot dogs, cooler, buns, and condiments


	These are the Duffers who survived until the Team picture was taken.

Commander brought a case of corn and 2 lbs of butter in a cooler

Steve brought 2 chocolate cakes from Portillos

The Czar's sister, Princess Suzanne, brought 2 trays of great cookies

The Picnic Sign was still at Tommy's House from 2013, so Thor lost his job

Beak brought the butter can and a corn tub with a 16 inch Clincher left over from the old days

Awards
Joe "Drago" Evans was awarded the Next Generation Meaningless Trophy
Bill "By The Way" Louis was given the Klinger Krash for the kick save tumble that he took on October 25, 2013. He beat out Commander Ken. Joe Mazzarella III and T&A were in the running, but they were eliminated for not showing up to the picnic. (Winner must be present for this award.)
Beak is still the holder of the Tim "Basketball Jones" Smith Perfect Award. Nobody played every game and showed up every night at Wild Wings this past season.
Fred "Fruitcake" Bobka was announced as the winner of the Fred Bobka Imperfect Attendance Award for


	playing in every regular season game, but he missed the 2 games in Ann Arbor and failed to shoe up at Wild Wings.


	Klinger was working while others cheered him on.

Klinger brought the beer and set up the grill then started cutting.	Fred an hour early, but he left before his award was presented

The Commander brought the corn and butter.	There is a back up at the beer line.
Tweedy gets ready to cook.	These kids were playing catch with the 20 year old Clincher softball.






The awards were were ready for presentation.	The Klinger Krash Award went to Bill BTW.



Bill was proud of his award.	Fred was not there to receive the Imperfect Attendance Award.

Drago received the Next Generation Meaningless Trophy.	Joe was Proud.

Klinger Krash Award History

2001 Beak had his skate blade snapped off by Super Dave's stick. The plaque was created

2002. Stump became the first Duffer to win the Klinger Krash Award for his triple flip

2003. Frank took a tumble in warm ups and hit his head

2004. The Alien got a concussion and was given the award when the Brain was late. The Brain had a crash with Mini Wheezer and would have received the award if he had been there on time.

2005. Mini Wheezer did something spectacular.

2006-Thor had 3 self inflicted spectacular crashes in March, where he threw his stick into the air, then he caused play to stop for laughter breaks.

2007-Hacksaw had several ugly spills where he landed on his head, while serving as a Duffer Referee trying to avoid Klinger Krashes that players usually incur.

2008-Maestro had a Klinger Krash that occurred when he was flipped upside down by "The Bookie", who slammed into him. The Krash stopped action while players laughed for several minutes!

2009-Terry "Crash" Nance For averaging 4 Klinger Krashs per game, some assisted, some unassisted, some are spectacular, while others go almost unnoticed. The Terry Krash-O-Meter was named after him. This is the first year that there were no other nominations!

2010, Nashville Tennessee -"Joe Face Plant" Evans For a painful Klinger Krash in Nashville when he planted his face on the ice while dropping the puck for a "Face Off"!

2011- March 4th between periods Tom Zagorski leaned against a door that was not there and tumbled backwards out of the rink. We laughed until the puck was dropped.

2012-February 3rd: V-Man suffered a mysterious self inflicted Klinger Krash. No one touched him, but Mini Wheezer was spotted on the bench poking a pin into a miniature V-Man Voodoo Doll.

2013 March 15th Geno bloodied his nose and rattled his eye on Berserk's shoulder. He came off, wiped the blood off of his shield, took his eye out and wiped it off then returned to the ice. Dylan Nance was given a Mini Klinger Krash award for getting crushed by his Dad on May .
