The Anvil became a Grandpa!
Eddie the Anvil has a granddaughter, but I forgot her name. It is Something, Joyce, Something. Eddie never gave me the name when I told him that I forgot, so we will go with Joyce, that's a nice name.  It was nice to see Formica again. He is ready for a Duffer trip. We have narrowed our trip destination down to Ann Arbor to see Donny and the U17 USA kids or St Louis.  The game featured great goal tending by Tweedy and the Anvil.  Both of them had a shut out going into the second period.  The Czar started the scoring for the Reds when he blasted one past Tweedy.  Rags got that back when he fired a low hard one past Grandpa Ed.  Beak surprised his son Tweedy when he fired a pass to Nick the Prick who quickly roofed a shot to give the Reds

Grandpa and Tweedy

a 2-1 lead. Tweedy stacked the pads and spoiled Beaks best chance at another incest goal later. Terry had a nifty spill when he was tripped by the Duffer Ghost behind the net, but he silenced the laughter when he beat the Anvil and tied the score at 2-2.  Geno made it Reds 3, Whites 2 with a blind pass from Harvey who had a new junior stick that came up to the bear on his chest.  John "The Cone" Koss, who skipped work so that he could chauffer Formica to the game, beat Grandpa Ed like a rented goalie and gave us another tie.  Porta John, sometimes known as Johnny B gave the Whites a lead when he took a pass from Brinks. The Czar collided with Cowboy Joe and almost made him an amputee when his arm bent the way arms are not supposed to bend.  That sent Joe to the locker room for an ice pack.  The Whites had to dress Dylan from the "Limo Squad". (Football has a Taxi squad) The Reds immediately took advantage of the 12 year old when Beak tripped him and the Czar scored on Tweedy while he was booing his Dad for poor sportsmanship.  Tom "TO" O'Connor, who just ended his hold out, picked up the game winner.  When TO was asked where he had been, he mumbled something about the Sox and their magic number. Nick added an insurance goal in the closing minutes. Final score Reds 6, Whites 4The Anvil picked up another Meaningful 2-0 shutout.               Memorable Moments:

It is always a memorable weekend when I can skate with the Duffers! Some great crashes with me involved. First Cowboy Joe collided with THE CZAR. Then I cut in from the left side and flew into the goal crease and hit Eddie THE ANVILS head. My favorite was chasing Nick the Prick and running into his dad the Bookie! Again thanks!  Formica.  FORMICA #25

The following 5 Duffers have Perfect Attendance: Beak, Terry, Fruitcake, Hacksaw, and Magoo.

2 more games then 2 weeks off.
