Eleven Goals From the "Ts"!

Romeoville, IL
January 24, 2014

Attendance: 22

Toms had 8 goals!
16 goals were scored.  Eleven of them were scored by guys with T for an initial.  The Toms had 8 goals, Thor had 2 and Terry had the other one.  The non "T" goals came from Geno, Johnny B, V-Man and 2 from Rags.  We weren't sure who our goalie would be since the Anvil was out blowing snow or pounding sand, so Rags was going to bring Jimmy Bone's pads for Johnny B who has been begging to play goalie.  But Jimmy Bones decided to bail us out again and he

Thor and Tommy Z have had 12 goals in 2 weeks!

showed up just in time to strap on his own pads.  He was victimized by the Ambrosias, as Senior Tom scored 2 and Junior Tom scored one.  Thor bagged another pair, giving him 5 goals in the last 2 games.  Rags scored twice when he fired 2 low, hard ones that moved all shot blockers to the corners and out of the way.  Duffers are in the Chris Chelios school of thought.  Chris said, "I don't block shots ever since I blocked one and broke my leg.  I let the goalies see the puck and use their big pads to block shots."  Johnny B and V-man each had a goal to give the Whites 9 goals.  The Reds got 4 goals from Tommy Z, who suddenly became a shooter instead of a passer.  This trend started last week when he peppered Tweedy with a dozen shots before he picked up a hat trick.  Tom "TO" O'Connor, Geno and Terry each had one for the Reds.  Terry's goal came when his pass to Beak went off Bill BTW's shin guard in the 2nd period.  Now that is irony at it's finest
Final Score: Whites 9, Reds  7, .    Meaningful Score: Whites 2, Reds 2,

Memorable Moments:

  • Fred  and Beak still have their perfect attendance streaks going. The Czar ruled that Fruit Cake would not be eligible for the Tim Smith award since he has never been to Wild Wings.  Tim never missed a game and always went to the bar, so plans are in the works for an imperfect attendance award for Fred.
  • Bill BTW had a wardrobe malfunction.  He showed up on time, but his shin guards were not in his bag, so he raced home and was on the ice just in time to tip Terry's shot past his own goalie.

T&A said, "Thanks again for the beautiful cards for my family!"

Tommy got 4, but We needed 6.

I can't decide if I should put Tommy's head on Mini Wheezer's body, or put these shot glasses on a  picture of Tommy.  What do you think?

I got 16 votes for putting Tommy's Head on Mini Wheezer's body.

You would never think this guy was a scoring machine.

Shooters are happy, goalies are ticked.

Seven goals for TZ, 5 for Thor in 2 games.

V-Man is improving Jack's vocabulary.

Commander Ken (Left) Steve the Hammer (Center) Czar (Right)

Those hot wings will bite your butt tomorrow.

There is some bad body language going on.

I just wanted to be the goalie.

Those fries look good?

This anti-pasta will cool off these hot wings.

Hey!  You weren't here tonight.

We went to see Ohio State beat Wisconsin the next day.

The Buckeyes were down 1, then won 3-1 with an open net goal.

Ryan had 2 goals and an assist on Friday against Penn State

He picked up 2 assists and a goal the following afternoon.
