Romeoville, IL 04/09/2010 The Anvil takes a Sabbatical Leave!

Thor Miller was silenced after antagonizing Eddie the Anvil who took an unpaid leave of absence to get away from smack talking Thor. Tweedy stepped up for Ed and shut Thor out and up! Goals were hard to score this week, except for Bill By The Way who lit up the Brain for a hat trick. The Reds could only get one other goal and that was a beautiful tip in by Rob the Guest. Brinks had the first meaningful goal for the Whites when he fired one past Tweedy. Jim "Rags" Ragland had another one of his Marion Hossa type goals and that pesty little Italian, Tom "T&A" Ambrosia gave the Whites a 3-3 tie. That looked like the final until Brinks got a clean break away as all of the Reds imitated cones and watched Tweedy make a spectacular save, but the rebound went right to

Mr. Magoo who buried it to give the Whites a 4-3 lead late in the game. The Reds were able to salvage a tie, when the BBB or B Cubed line (Bill,-Big Buff-Beak) teamed up for a tick tack toe passing play that started with Beak's pass to Big Buff, who cut across the slot and sent a pass to Bill BTW who one timed a shot past the Brain to pick up his Hat Trick and gain a tie. Tweedy was happy with the tie, since his big brother, Grandpa Ken, didn't score on him. When Brinks got into the locker room, his phone was ringing. It was a call from the Assistant Coach of the Pittsburgh Penguins, he wanted to know the score of our game! We have to figure out how to post live scores on the Web. Maybe Rich Storm can make an App for that! Tony can't wait for the Duffer News, he needs instant Duffer News updates.

Game Highlight

Geno drove to the rink and played his first game after successful eye surgery
MLF Game: We need a practice for the MLF game on May 1. Rob and Don want to teach us some drills and a break out.
Cub Sox Game June 27th: Terry asked if women are allowed, and when he was told that we have had many women at our previous outings, he ordered 2 tickets. I have ordered 10 and 7 are spoken for. I may be able to


	get more if I act soon. I will need money at our next game. Checks can be made out to me or Holy Trinity High School


	Boris is back and ready for the MLF game. Emil came to lunch too.

It takes about 3 years to produce 100 Newsletters, so I'm celebrating 600 this week with one of those Stroh's that I had left after my 70th Birthday.

It was suggested that he get us a container. Thor would put in a toilet and Bar and we could hitch a ride on a flat car. Then He started thinking about safety. We told him that you can't have fun when you think safety.

See Duffer Headlines page 1 1983, Donny Granato gave the Duffers the lead, 2 minutes later on a slap shot, set up by Wally Kraft.
Tony Granato scored an unassisted goal minutes later to give the Duffers a little breathing room. Ken Lopatka added an insurance goal late in the game to give the Duffers a 6-3 win and an undisputed hold on first place.
