4 for Brinks in Friday Shoot out!

Romeoville, IL 10/17/08
Attendance 25

8 More Meaningful Goals!
Magoo took a pass from Back Door Tommy on his first shift and poked it past the Brain to give the Reds an early lead.  Tom scored shortly after that to make it 2-0!  It looked like the Reds were on there way to another win, but that changed quickly when Geno tied the Meaningful game with a wrist shot.  Tweedy tied the game and Thor followed that one with a goal to give the Whites a 3-2 lead that they never relinquished.  Brinks scored the first of his 4 goals and the rout was on.  The game got interesting when Stump slammed the Bookie into the boards, but the Bookie had the last laugh when he blew one past the Brain.  Geno added another goal while Back hand Johnny added a pair.

Tweedy had 2 or 3 and Art sailed an ice hugger from the point past the Anvil.  Tommy scored another in the third period, as did Basketball Jones, Fat Terry and Jeff, but it was too little to late, as the Whites stomped the Reds 15-7.  The Reds needed a Bobka factor goal to save the day, but the Fruitcake ruined his perfect attendance to go to a sleep over.  No wait, that was Nick the Whistler that went to the sleep over.  (My notes are a little scrambled after my trip to Kankakee on 4 hours of sleep on Saturday morning)  My granddaughter is starting Softball again.  She is on the Romeoville Revolution under 14 softball team and will need some financial help again this upcoming season.  If you would like to help, you can do so in 2 ways.

  1. You can give as little as $10 toward a Duffer Hockey Sponsorship.  I already have $50 pledged toward that goal.
  2. You can have your company represented with a $250.00 tax deductible donation.  That will place your company on the Team banner and the Revolution web site.  (See picture below)
Arizona I need to know if you want a ticket to the Coyotes-Sabers on Friday, March 6th.  Boris needs to know who wants to golf.  Fancy $100 or cheap $50?  Formica said he wanted a cheap seat to the Coyote game.
Perfect Attendance Drops to 8!

We had our biggest turn out last week.  The following guys still have perfect attendance;

Maestro, Beak, Bookie, Frank, Stump, Terry, Hacksaw and The Anvil.
We may give a "Perfect Attendance Mulligan" if you skate in Arizona.  That could get us back to 14.

Next Game is on Halloween, remember to let Brinks know if you want to help scare some hockey players at his house.  See October 16th  e-mail.
