Remember when The Anvil got this tattoo in Toronto?  Rumor has it Eddie is planning to add a Nashville flavor to it for our next road trip.  My grandson Mike Lopatka is a professional tattoo artist at Skin Gallery at 1402 Ogden in Downers Grove.  He is planning to skate with us on Thanksgiving.  Ask Beak for his business card.

Hat Trick For Brinks!

Romeoville, IL 10/30/09                  6 Meaningful Goals
Attendance 23

Brinks and Thor ended the Reds' winning streak by scoring 5 goals between them.  The Anvil was MIA, so Stump, the Goalie in Chief, had to call his own number.  The Reds got off to a good start when Geno scored on an assist from Big Buff.  Thor and Brinks scored for the Whites to make it 2-1.  Bill BTW tied it with a Canadian like shot and Jimmy the Rags Ragland, who was sporting brand new hundred dollar skates, gave the Reds a short lived 3-2 lead.  Rich Storm closed out the first period scoring when he blew around John "The Cone" Koss to tie it at 3-3.  The Whites put the game away with 3 unanswered goals  by Brinks, Thor and V-Man early in the 2nd.  Only Dave the Goalie was able to  score on the Brain in the second, so the Whites took a 6-4 lead into the third period.

Thor steals some fries from V-Man, who waited 30 minutes to get his meal.

The Reds lost their top scorer when Geno had a puck cut him just under his good eye.

He lost some blood and his vision, so he had to be driven home by Klinger who showed up to watch us play with his healing knee.  (Geno was able to see and drive his truck home on Saturday.)  TZ, Brinks and V-Man added third period goals to put the game away 9-4.  The Whites won the Meaningful contest 5-1 and the contest at Wild Wings went to the Whites also when they picked up an  exciting 8-7 win!

5 Candidates left for the Tim Smith Award

The following Duffers have Perfect Attendance: Beak, Fruitcake, Hacksaw, Magoo and Mini Wheezer.  That number will drop to 4 as Beak will have to miss the next game when he will be launching rockets at the Batavia Library.  He should make it to Wild Wings though to keep his Wild Wings perfect attendance record going like Tim Smith.
