The
Mustang's 2000-2001 season is over, they finished with a very respectable
season record of 21 wins, 10 losses
and 3 ties!
The Mustangs finished the play off season with a thrilling win over Naperville North. Kevin Sebaski and Jeff Kloc gave the Mustangs an early 2 goal lead, but Naperville came back to make it close. Brooks Clinton gave us a 3-2 lead but Naperville tied it again. Mike Lopatka deflected a Dan Randall bullet into the net for a 4-3 lead with 4 minutes to play. Jeff Adams made it interesting when he was given a 2 minute penalty with 3 minutes left in the game. Naperville took advantage of the penalty and tied it again with a power play goal. Brooks came to the rescue with 6.5 seconds left on the clock when he poked a Matt Star rebound in for the winner.
