The July game was a meaningful masterpiece.  The meaningless players put all of their efforts into setting up meaningful goals.  Peoria Duffer in Chief, Art Koudelka,  was a good example, as he and Tommy Z set up 4 meaningful goals for the Reds.  Knarf and Klinger scored to tie the game and Brinks and Magoo gave the Reds a 4-2 Meaningful win.  Roger beat Stump on his first shift when he picked off a difficult pass from Beak and walked in with Zagnuts on his back.  Roger returned the favor on the next rush when he set up Beak's one timer in the slot.  Thor scored a little later and it looked like the Whites were on there way to a meaningful win, but that turned around quickly

Knarf and Digital Dan Maznec shared a few memories with Beak, Hacksaw and Beer-Nuts.

when Knarf and Klinger scored.  The Whites were able to salvage the Meaningless win for Brian the Brain, with some goals by Beak Jr. and Roger.
Digital Dan Maznec returned to town to share a few beers at Nicks.  Dan retired from the Duffers and moved to Florida in 1989.  Dan was best remembered for his quote, "When is it, I can't make it!"
The Bonos' Saturday Car show
has been a huge success.  The Bolingbrook Sun  ran a cover story by Lauren Kraft in July.  Beaks Telescope was a big hit, as car lovers got a little Astronomy lesson.  The Car show idea was born on a Winter Friday night when Beak Jr. talked Laura into presenting the idea to the owner.
Beak will not be at the August game.  Please e-mail him a story if you want an opening day Newsletter.

Hacksaw and Beer-Nuts are on good terms again as they downed a few beers at Nick's.  Hacksaw is getting a little more sleep, now that the World Cup ended when the slaughter rule was invoked on the 2-0 win by Brazil.

Beak  had his telescope set  up at Bonos' Car Show.
