The Anvil Was Spectacular!

Darien, IL 11/27/03
    Rich Storm

Thursday's game was no contest as Eddie the Anvil shut down the Whites, who were loaded with guns like Cuzzin Joe, Tweedy, Marsha, Art K. and Johnny Z.  The Reds were totally out of control, scoring 11 goals in the first 2 periods.  I had a lot of my slower moving brain cells get killed in Peoria, so I can't remember any of the 15 or 20 Thanksgiving goals, but I do remember eating some of Eddies Brats, smothered with grilled onions and washing them down with some beers. (Thanks to Brinks, Uncle Bob and Eddie)

Peoria, IL  November 28

The 2 hour and 45 minute game was much more memorable as the Whites edged the Reds 2-0 with goals by Brinks and Thor.  The meaningless game was also very close as 38 year old Dave Neys scored 3 goals for the Reds.  The Whites defense, anchored by Mike Ladas and Rich Storm were able to keep high scoring Peoria Hot Shots like Emil, Rod and Art under control.  Hacksaw's Macedonian neighbor, John, declared the game a tie.  He also used the Rivermen chalk board to draw up some winning plays. Knarf kept the Whites in check as Klinger went wild at winger. A Big Thank you to Coach Jason Christi and the

Stump returns 7 days after Total Hip Replacement surgery.

Rivermen for the ice time, tickets and hospitality!  The Rivermen kept their Duffer winning streak alive with a 4-1 win over Cincinnati.  The Duffers kept their losing streak at the casino alive.  The Friday trip was great, we had a great time and still got home in time to enjoy the week end!  I spent $36.00 for a room, $37 for food and drinks.

Last Men Standing on Thursday!

Thanks to Wendy for letting her new husband out for the day.  Too bad he couldn't stay over night like he did in the olden days.
(He had to return home with Koss)

There is an entry on the Duffer Calendar for March 7, 2004.  Beak has been involved with the Jim Misiora Day at the Races. He will be twisting arms so that we can have a table full of Duffers at that fun filled event.  For more information, click here. If you can't go to Denver that weekend, He would really appreciate it if you would help him fill one table.

I just added a new entry to the History about Bill By the Way.
