Attendance 18

Klinger Crash Nominee

Here is the official score:
Meaningless Reds 14 Whites 6
Meaningful Reds 2 - Hitman, Bobka Whites 1 - Brinks
The entire game was played 4 on 4 due to a sparse turnout. It was however, fast, spirited with no offside's and no fights.
Good turnout at the BWW.

Steve makes a bid for the Klinger Krash Award.

The following report was sent in by Mini Wheezer:

I made them laugh!!! The score was big, Jason didn't show up in the 3rd, it was bad really bad! There were only 16 skaters and the Whites had Art and all the Granato's, so Rich Storm sent Art to the Reds. It got a little better when Tommy Z arrived a little late from his cancelled other game. My goal was the last for the Whites so the score is actually 196 to 6. Jason the Goalie miscued on a clearing pass and I was able to get to it just inside the blue line and score into an empty net. The reason Steve made everyone laugh is that as he was coming up the left boards toward the Anvil in the third period, he was having trouble controlling the puck and did not realize how close he was to the boards. Going full speed, he lost control and checked himself right into the boards with one of the best checks ever. What made it so funny though was, as he was climbing to his feet, he looked right at the Red's bench with a look on his face as if to say "Where did these boards come from?" It has to rank second in all time Duffer history only to the Alien tripping over the blue line a few years ago at Saints Spectrum, with his feet going full tilt while he was prone in the air. Klinger wiped out the Anvil with one of his famous crashes. Thanks, Fred
I'll take credit for 3 meaningless garbage goals for the red 1) on flip shot by Stump went off the shaft of my stick straight up and went off the Goalies back and in. 2) Art poked a loose puck across the crease and I was able to deflect it in 3) Art fired a puck from the circle and I was able to poke in the rebound Bill Conti scored one through my legs, Tommy and Art had a couple and Hitman had man had 1 Bobka scored the last goal.....I hate math so you can add up the Bobka factor Don's meaningful goal was a great tip in for the Whites. I think Steve had 1 and BBTW had 1 Robbie had 2 or 3 . We have a Klinger Crash nomination....... Steve Granato near the red bench.  It looked like he was trying to catch a pass a little behind him and just ran out of room crashed into the penalty box.

When he got up he looked around hoping nobody was looking......but we all saw it. As a former Winner of the award I gave him a 9.5 based on how hard the bench was laughing. Thanks to Perry for bringing some Canadian flu medicine into the red locker room.
That's all for now see you Friday.   Mini
