(Above) Knarf, Tweedy, The Flea and Klinger were named defensive players of the game at Bono's, but no one could hear the announcement because of the ear busting karaoke noise.  Fruitcake may have been named, but he didn't go to the bar.

(Right) Tommy and Hitman were named offensive players of the game.

Attendance 26  Report by The Beak

This is Duffer Newsletter Number 444!

Friday's game featured outstanding goal tending by 2 Stump Stand Ins!  What do you do when you are the Duffer Goalie in Chief and the Brain has a cramp and the Anvil has a head ache?  Call Goalie Busters.  Tweedy and Jason answered the call and kept Stump from strapping on the pads.  Jason heard we were a drinking team with a hockey problem, so he put 5 cases of beer in in his car and headed for the rink.  In the first period, both goalies stopped all of the shots.  Tommy Z set Beak up several times, once he hit Jason

in the knee and the other time he fanned on a great setup.  Perry finally solved Jason, to give the Reds a 1-0 lead.  Tommy Z made it 2-0 and then set up Hitman for the only Meaningful goal of night.  TZ added another to seal the 4-0 win.  Both goalies had some spectacular saves.  Tweedy had some help from the post and his awesome defensive coup.  Klinger and Knarf kept the Whites from getting too many breakaways.  Tom Morgan did a nice job covering for the aggressive Fruitcake. The Klinger Krash of the night came when Klinger went spinning out of control and kicked out "Tim Gym Shorts" Smith's legs.  Mini Wheezer avoided a goalie collision when he veered out of the way when he realized that Jason was not a 180 pound goalie.  Steve Granato showed an increase in lung capacity since his first night out.

New Year's Plans are shaping up!

Rich Storm has made arrangements for us to have a New Year's Day Game at 11:00 followed by a family skate from 12:30 till 2:00.  We will call it the "half way to the picnic party" We are looking for suggestions

for ideas for food and drinks.  Maybe we will have a "half way to the picnic party" committee meeting.  If it is half as much fun as the Picnic Committee meeting, we'll have a great time.

What a great way to bring in the New Year
