Wins it!
The best turn out of the year (3 Full lines and 5
D) produced a great game, where the Blues jumped off to an early lead,
with a Harvey Goal. Mazurk went Berserk and scored an obscene number
of meaningless goals to delight our overflowing crowd. Eddie "The
Anvil" had another shut out going.
 This
week, the Whites didn't wait until the third period to remind Eddie that
he was working on a shut out. Beak scored on a pass from his son,
Tweedy, early in the second period to give the Whites a 1-1 Meaningful
tie. |
 The Home team
came back strong in the third with 4 goals by Johnny and Tweedy to cut
the lead to 6-5, Meaningless and 2-1, Meaningful. (Alien broke the
1-1 tie) Just when it looked like the Whites would tie, Doc scored and
put the meaningless contest out of reach. The Home team went after
the Meaningful tie in the final minute as they pulled Gary the Ghost and
added a sixth attacker. Beak fired a shot that the Anvil deflected
off of the post and onto the goal line as the final buzzed sounded to close
out a thriller. |
