Bolingbrook, IL 6/11/04
Attendance 22

The first summer game started out as a low scoring event as The Anvil and the Ghost were unbeatable.  Berserk finally broke the scoreless tie when he took a pass from Thor and blew one past the Ghost.  That opened the flood gates as the Whites quickly scored several goals.  Berserk's nephew, Ted, scored his first Duffer goal and was presented with the puck..  Berserk scored 2 more and Ted added another.  Thor picked up 4 assists on that line.  There was no rest for the Ghost as the Beak Jr. line scored 4 goals.  Beak and his son set up Hacksaw's game winning meaningful goal.  And Beak picked up 3 more assist by setting up his son's hat trick.  Ben Oskroba had a beautiful goal to spoil the Anvil's shut out.   Someone else scored, but I can't remember after eating all of that picnic food.  Uncle Bob had a big crash.

Awards

A new era began at the picnic when Mike Presecky was presented with the Duffers Meaningless Trophy.  The King's meaningless trophy  was retired last year.  Beak tried to present the Klinger Krash award to Brian the Brain, but he wasn't present for the presentation.  Bill Allen was given the award when he showed up.  Uncle Bob was one of the  leading candidates, but he didn't show up, and he is moving to Arazona.  The Brain showed up much later, so Beak gave him the Plaque insert and he was thrilled enough to send the following message.

Beak presented Bill "The Alien" Allen with the third annual Klinger Krash Award for his concussion.

times!  And of course, a special thanks must be given to the man that made it possible...Mini-Wheeze. Without him, this great award could not have been bestowed upon me. May all your crashes be big, and may all your skates come with training wheels!  I gratefully accept this award in honor of every Goaltender in the world that must play against a Mini-Wheeze.

I would like to thank everyone for giving me this award.  It is a privilege to have been considered for this award, and I am honored to have my name on an award that has been previously given to great Duffers, Stump and Knarf. A big thanks to our great Goalie Manager, Stump, for having me on the roster so that I participate in these fun
