Attendance 18  Report by Beak

The Brain and the Anvil stopped a lot of shots Friday when poor attendance forced skaters to conserve energy

Meaningful Goal Drought Ends!

After two straight 1-0 meaningful games, the over 50 guys went crazy.  Harvey started the Meaningful scoring, when he beat the Brain in the first period to give the Reds an early 1-0 lead.  Thor, who has missed 2 weeks with the Texas hold-em flu, tied the game with a shot that beat the Anvil.  Thor added another one later in the period.  Eddie lost his cool early in the third period, when all 5 of his skaters took off on a 5 on 2, but they were missing one important object, the puck!

3 players in White sweaters were pelting Eddie with it, until Brinks flipped it past him to give the Whites a 3-1 Meaningful lead.  Klinger scored a beautiful goal, when he walked in unmolested and made a move that Eddie didn't believe, then the eating machine tucked it in behind the Anvil for a 3 goal lead.  Thor finished off the Meaningful orgy, when he picked up his Hat trick! To give the Whites a 5-1 Meaningful win.  Mini Wheezer and Tommy Z had Meaningless goals for the Reds, but Stump and Johnny Z off set those with White goals.  Eddie made the save of the night, when he gloved a Stump shot while he was flat on his back, imitating a lady of the night.  Koss showed up and got more ice than he wanted, as the Whites only had 9 skaters and the Reds had to make do with only eight!  Come on Duffers, get off of that couch and help us out!  Beak's hip cried uncle, even with his steroid shots and a double dose of anti inflammatory pills.
