Mini Wheezer Report

Road Trip Saturday March 24, 2007.
You have 5 weeks to get ready for our Bloomington Road Trip.  We have 22 guys so far.  3 goalies, I Referee, 1 Coach, I Fan, 16 skaters and Beak.  Art and Emil can fill out the rest of the team with Peoria Duffers.
Game Report
Harvey showed up sporting a new perm that seamed to pump new life into him.  He managed to stay out for 4 or 5 minute shifts.  His fellow left wingers, Special Ed and Scott the
Bookie got cold waiting for Harvey to get tired. Scott only had 2 shifts in the third period, while right wingers, Beak, Mini Wheezer and Maestro Bill Conti  had 5 or 6 shifts in each period.  Harvey did manage to surprise the Brain when he jammed in a wrap around in the first period.  He bagged another in the second when Jeff Lopatka set him up in the slot with a pass from behind the net. Jeff picked up a similar assist when Special one timed a shot past the Brain.  Jeff had a busy day as he scored a hat trick and had 3 assists.  Beak told his grandson that he would pay for his hockey, because he needed someone who could get him an assist when he banged a clearing pass out of his zone.  His wish came true in the second, when Beak poked one off of the boards past a pinching Stump.  Jeff took it in and beat the Brain to give the Reds a 6-3 lead.

Harvey sported a new hairdo last Friday and he dazzled the Brain.

The Reds increased the lead to 9-3 half way through the third period on goals by Maestro, and Tommy Z.  A six goal lead turned out to be shaky when The Flea accidentally poked one into his own net.  The Whites rose up and scored a father -son combo goal when AJ hit the post and his Dad, Art poked it past the Anvil, who has having a great game until then.  Rembrandt Granato and his brother Robert teamed up a minute later to cut the lead to 3!.  It remained that way , thanks to many saves by the Anvil, including a diving backhand grab on the stick side.  (You don't see that very often) Meaningful guns, Brinks, Thor and Magoo were held scoreless by Eddies antics.  The Reds were finally able to relax when Jeff roofed one on the Brain in the closing minutes to give the Whites a 10-6 Meaningless win and a 2-0 Meaningful win.  Notable events, Klinger took out Rich Storm when he slid into the back of his legs. (Three Stooges Style)  The Anvil had another dent added to his mask thanks to a high hard one by a guy who shall remain nameless, but his initials are Steve Granato.

(Left) The Anvil wished that they were shooting beach balls at him when he got conked in the head.  .
