November 23, 2000 Reporters Cammi Granato *** Rich Storm

Hat for Hit Man
Duffer  hunters gathered up their automatic weapons and took off for the woods to blow away the birds and Bambi.
That left us with only 7 Blues and 8  White hockey players.  Since most of the players were Meaningful , meaningful goals were going in at a record pace.
Hitman had a natural hat trick and Harvey’s goal gave the Blues 4 goals.  Brinks and Hacksaw scored  The only goals for the whites.  Little Jeff Lopatka skated the whole 3rd period and scored on Stump after getting crushed in the corner by the stout goalie.

Turkey Skate is On!
Frank got us Ice on Thanksgiving morning at 9:00 O'clock AM at Bridgeview (Saints Spectrum)
Hacksaw calls Coach Christie during the game. He offers advice on line changes and transition strategies.
Hacksaw tells the coach about his flutter blast goal. Hacksaw speeds into the zone.
Coach Christie during the game. Coach tells his players to try a flutter blast shot.
Beer-nuts tells Rich Storm to put on his game face. Beer-nuts tells Rich Storm to smile.
Beer-nuts just scored his "Pearl Harbor" goal.  Rod and Art look on in disbelief. Beavis picks off a clearing pass.

Peoria Saturday!
The Peoria Rivermen game on Saturday Nov. 18 was won by Jason and the Rivermen, as they shut out the Nailers 2-0.
The Peoria Duffer in Chief, Art Koudelka, did a great job of getting us a dozen, Duffer quality, hockey players that fit right in.
(Visit Art's Web Page http://www.ivcc.edu/koudelka/)
Art and his friends set up several meaningful goals.  Beak had a Hat trick, thanks to a nice assist from Charlie Art Koudelka, did a great job of getting us a dozen, Duffer quality, hockey players that fit right in.

Art and his friends set up several meaningful goals.  Beak had a Hat trick, thanks to a nice assist from Charlie(Bugman) while Hacksaw, Hitman and Frank each had one. Beer-nuts had the “Pearl Harbor” shot of the season, when he flipped a shot at the net from the blue line while the goalie, Steve, was taking a long drink.  He never knew what happened, as the puck found it's way into the net.  Steve did a great job playing goalie since that was his first time in 5 years.  He is the Rivermen’s Captain Video.  He also has some Thor qualities, as he messed up the retelling of a locker room joke later in the evening.

New Rivermen head coach, Jason Christie,  made the Duffers feel right at home as he welcomed us to Peoria.  His Staff and players were all happy to see us.  The Duffers presented, Coach Christie, with a new Duffer jacket, compliments of Uncle Bob and Clubhouse Designs  (630) 724-9240
The new coach has his team hustling and playing disciplined hockey.  If the Chicago Black Hawks played like this, they would be in first place and the United Center would be filled.

Check up on the Worcester Ice Cats.

Coach Christie leads the Duffers to his new $375,000 bus. He opens it up.
Nice Bus!!!

Face Off!

Looks like Rich Storm has some help.  We got this from Wally's friend, George in Marathon Florida.

Above: Based upon satellite measurements of city lights, this image is a map of the urban population density of North America. Red, yellow and green are urban areas, and blue is peri-urban. (Key West)  The city light data is laid over elevation data (black is sea level, light gray is over 10,000 feet).
