The Anvil Nails Tweedy!

Uncle Bob seams to reach back for something extra when Tweedy is in the net and tonight was no exception as he scored on his first shift.  Doc blew a slap shot past him from the point and the  rout was on for the Reds.  Johnny Z added several 2 or 3 footers to cinch the meaningless win.
The Meaningful battle was more exciting as
Papa Joe gave the Reds a Meaningful lead early in the game.  That lead stood up until Hitman managed to ruin the Anvil's Meaningful shut out late in the third period to give the Whites a thrilling meaningful tie.
Hansen Brother Larry was named MVD as he made some unusual plays that could never have been made by a sober player.
Klinger returned from his travels only to be shaken by another earthquake like crash.  It appears that he was sucked into the low pressure area that was created by a speeding Rich Storm.  The crash was good enough to qualify him for the 2003-04 Klinger Krash award, but he is not eligible to win the award that was inspired by him and carries his name.

First skate for Duffer GOD, Mike Spillman.  Beak bought those little skates 20 years ago in Canada when his first grandson was born.

Beak lings

Alien failed to show up after he found out that he sucks.  Last week, as he was refereeing, he had a problem sounding the whistle.  Someone suggested that he was sucking instead of blowing.  What really happened was he had the whistle upside down.  You may remember a few years ago, he came out wearing his new Duffer jersey with the Number in front.  A few years before that he had a break a way and took a shot at his own goalie.  Don't ever ask why we call him the Alien.  Thor became a Grandpa when Eugene Miller was born on Friday October 10.  The Bar bill cost Grandpa Thor a fortune.
Attendance  25.

J.B. quote of the week.  "If we couldn't laugh, we would all go insane."

Looks like a cross check, but it's just a friendly assist from Thor.
