Attendance 20

After last week's record low attendance, the Duffers made the call to Peoria.  They brought up Peoria's Duffer in Chief, Art, and his son A.J. to get us away from 4 0n 4 hockey.  The strategy worked as we had 9 skaters on each team.  Goal tending dominated as The Anvil and The Brain traded spectacular saves all night long.  The Brain robbed the Flea twice, once with a great glove save and then beat him again with the blocker.  Eddie the Anvil picked off one of Art's slap shots with a laser quick glove save.  Tweedy softened up the Anvil's toe with a slap shot that pushed his skate blade right into the post, but the puck stayed out of the net.
A.J. started the scoring for the Reds, when he beat the Brain for his first Duffer Goal.  Hitman gave the Reds a 2 goal lead when he poked one in.  Tommy made it 3-0 with his first goal of the night.  A.J.'s Dad, Art,  ended Eddie's shout out when he flew across the slot and poked one past the Anvil.  The Canadian Flea made it 4-1 with a blast past the screened Brain.    A minute later, Tweedy made a rush out of his zone and tried to hand it off to his Dad at the attacking Blue line, so that he could avoid a 3 line call, but Beak never saw the puck.  The

defenders got all confused, so Tweedy picked up the puck and fed it to Brinks, who cut the lead in half with a beautiful goal that tied the meaningful score at 1-1.  Magoo made it 4-3 with a tap in that gave the Whites a 2-1 meaningful lead.  Tweedy tied it at 4, but Tommy Z made it 5-4 in the closing minutes.  It looked like that would be a game winner until Eddie came out to try to beat Tweedy to a lose puck, his winger JZ tried to help out, but the puck popped out and Tweedy had an easy game tying goal into an empty net.  5-5 was the final with the Whites picking up the meaningful win.  A Big Thank you to Muzzy for dropping the puck for us.  When he dumped out his old skates, rodent nesting material fell out, complete with nut shells and other interesting materials.

Thanksgiving
We will have our annual Thanksgiving game at Downers Grove Icearena at 8:30  AM on November 25.  We will play our Friday, November 26th game in Peoria.  Ice time will be announced later.

Muzzy uses his hands to explain why he packed it in after reffing only 2 periods.  Klinger eyes some food.
