Shooters Gone Wild.
Goalies had their hands full on the first day of the new year, despite many great saves, by
The Anvil and the Brain, there ware many goals that found the back of the net.
An official referee, would probably have disallowed 2 of the goals, one for each site, but Little Nick, our 7 year old puck dropper, was happy just to get out of the way.
The Reds easily won the Meaningful contest with a Hat Trick by Brinks and an insurance goal by
Hitman. The Meaningless contest was a real barn burner, with the lead changing hands several times.
Robby had a goal or 2 for the Reds and set up many more. Beak Jr.

and Art each had a Hat Trick for the Whites to give the Home team the lead in the 3rd period, but
Beak's Grandson, Jeff, gave the Reds the late lead with a one timer, that lasted until the final minute.
John Bobka flipped one in when the Anvil was wondering. Butt Head Morgan and Beak's nephew, Jay, also had a goal or 2 as did
Johnny Z. Beak went to the locker room to get his camera during the final 2 minutes and he thought the Reds won 8-7, but Fruitcake said that his son's goal tied the score.
Never argue with Fred about statistics. One thing for sure is, we had a lot of fun!
After the game, we had the ice all to ourselves.
The Ice was filled with SODS (Son Of Duffers), DODS (Daughters Of Duffers),
GODS (Grandchildren Of Duffers) and WODS (Wives Of Duffers).
Brinks had a cooler full of Strohs in the parking lot, but only had 3 takers, He wasn't upset, because he is ready for next Friday.
