Hat Trick for Danny G!

Romeoville, IL November 16, 2007
Attendance 23

Tweedy Cools Off the Reds!

The Flea set up Rob (Piggy Bank) Granato   for an early goal, then He fired a low hard one from the point that Fruit Cake tipped past the Anvil.  Perry was given credit for the goal since Fred can't get credit for a goal when he scores on his own goalie.  Art "AK", Basketball Jones and Super Dave added first period goals to give the Whites a 5-0 lead.  Beak told Danny Granato that he could start shooting since they were down by five.  He went right out and spoiled Tweedy's shutout to make the score 5-1 at the end of the first period.

Uncle Bob and TZ listen to Thor's words of wisdom 5 years ago.

The Anvil got hot and stoned the Whites for the whole second period while his team staged a comeback.  Bill By The Way  scored to make it 5-2, then Danny G scored again.  Back Hand Johnny made it 5-4 before the second period ended.  The Flea set up Robby again to end the Anvil's streak and give the Whites a 6-4 lead.  The Maestro got the Reds back to a one goal deficit, but Tom the Guest made it 7-5  then Danny G  made it 7-6, but Brinks tapped one in to end the scoring and give the Whites an 8-6 win and a 1-0 Meaningful win for the Whites.  (Some of the goals may not be true, since I only have a 10 Goal memory and the e-mail reports were conflicting.)

It looked like The Whites took an early Meaningful lead with a Brinks goal, but he passed it off to the Zag nutsBeer nuts gave the Reds the lead when he was left all alone in front of the open net and a puck bounced off of the Ghost, right to his stick. Thor Miller tied it up when he blew a beautiful one timer* past Brian The Brain.  Beer Nuts got the Meaningful winner when lady luck smiled on him again with another open net rebound. The Meaningless game was just as exciting as the Reds spotted the Whites a 3 goal lead and came back to tie it at 8-8. Goals by Assman, (Mini's other name) Tweedy, Rusty Morgan helped overcome a shameless scoring binge by Zagnuts.  (I had a 10 Goal memory 5 years ago too)

A big Thank You to MVPs, Brinks and Scott Wayne for bringing the beer.

Perfect Attendance  holds at 9: Fruit Cake, Stump, Knarf, Beak, Hacksaw, Johnny Z , Anvil, Kramer's Bookie, and Basketball Jones.

  • Saturday, November 27      12:30 PM Peoria Game
Granato had 2 for the Whites Peoria's Emil had one or two for the Blues.  There were a lot of meaningless goals that didn't register.  Peoria's Art had some of those.  Click here for the 12/3/99 News

After a few drinks and dinner, we watched the Peoria Rivermen beat the Generals 7-4 in a penalty filled game. An hour long first period, marred by 141 penalty minutes put the King to sleep.
